Race the focus of District 4 debate – The Courier

Race was a key topic in Wednesday’s debate for the fourth district Louisville Metro Council seat being vacated at the end of the year by David Tandy.

During the 1-hour, 15-minute debate Wednesday, the candidates focused on issues ranging from economic development to crime to the Black Lives Matter movement – to the possibility that for the first time since Louisville and Jefferson County merged in 2003 the district won’t be represented by someone of color.
